The rules are simple for ALL awards and since it is an “honor system” type of program the logs are not checked for duplicate entries. Application for ALL awards are as easy as an email or phone call to WB9NDG. The rules are as follows:
* 25 SHARC members Certificate..You need to work at least 25 registered members of the SHARC club. This was the most popular certificate of 2006/2007!
* 50 Sharc Members Certificate..You need to work 50 members of the club.
* 50 US Gridsquares Certificate..You need to obtain callsigns from at least 50 different US grid squares. This one can be attained even on the 2 meter band with a bit of work!
* 50 US Prefixes Certificate…You need to obtain at least 50 different US prefixes from hams across the United States. This one was also a snap in 2006, and can also be done on 2 meters!
* 100 DX Prefixes Certificate..You need to obtain at least 100 different international callsign prefixes. This award proved to be a bit of a challenge, but many members have the award!
* 1000 Minutes QSO Cert……You need to accumulate at least 1000 minutes of QSO time in a MINIMUM of 10 minute increments. This award was, by far, the most challenging. Only 3 members of the club reached this goal last year !! You must be very good at keeping track of your longer QSO's (10 min minimum to qualify)
* WAS - Worked All States...New for 2007...You need to work at least one station in each of the 50 US States. Believe it or not, Alaska and Hawaii are not the hardest states to work!
